Mr Robot [S1E2] Review

Plot : After the cliff-hanger at the end of the pilot episode we are instantly greeted by the answer that we have been waiting for. E-corp offers Elliot a job in their cyber security division which he declines as he says "I think i'm happy where I am". Mr Robot then approaches Elliot about destroying "Steel Mountain" a massive data centre where E-corp backs up their data. However Elliot decides he doesn't want to follow this plan and develops his own plan.

Review : I find the way that Elliot talks to the viewer extremely unique despite being much like the way Frank Underwood addresses the viewer in house of cards. I also find the way that he took care of the dog in episode 1 extremely altruistic despite it using his bed as a toilet. I think that Shayla's supplier is probably going to be dangerous towards Elliot later.

Mr Robot [S1E1] Review

After watching the first episode of Amazon prime's Mr Robot i have been left with a large amount of anticipation for when I watch the next episode.

Plot : Mr robot is a crime drama set in NYC and features a young hacker called Elliot who is approached by an anarchist called Mr Robot. In this episode we learned that Elliot is a programmer working at a cyber security firm who uses both social engineering and hacking to keep the people around him safe and happy. After the firm he works at is hacked he is approached by the hacker, Mr Robot. Mr Robot then informs Elliot of his master plan...

Review : The role of Elliot is executed beautifully by the extremely talented Rami Malek who presents Elliot in a way that makes the character feel genuine and real. The show perfectly steers clear of Holywood style hacking cliches that are tiring and unrealistic and instead uses accurate depictions rendered by using data from Anonymous. This is a fantastic show and I am extremely looking forward to seeing the next installment.

As I started this new blog I found myself pondering "what is even happening here?" and within a mad scurry for purpose I decided that the "not much at all" I will be posting will be consisting of "nothing inparticular".
